Okay, this got me curious. I remember playing this game back in the SNES (like... two or so decades ago?) and I'm curious to see if there will be actually some sort of international release, but maybe I'm dumb but I can't see anything on the twitter account.

I am hoping its a Worldwide release of the first game but I think it's possible it's just a Japanese Only game or even just merch.

Would've been a perfect drop for today but maybe the Direct did indeed get delayed so they were never planning on being there?:

Tim Rogers' review of this game is one of my favorite YouTube videos ever. Had never heard of this game previously but he had me convinced it's the greatest game ever by the end lol hope it releases in English

I had heard of the game for many years before the video, I was delighted to see Tim Rodgers getting the word out and its great to hear something like your post. Very shortly after this video the first ever translation finally was completed for the SNES version(With MSU1 Video/Audio) which isn't the same as the PS1 version but close, and after beating it twice I can confidently say the hype Tim was talking about is real.

Considering we couldn't even get the untranslated original via the US TurboGrafx-16 Mini (yet Konami left an untranslated Snatcher on the US version), I wouldn't be shocked if this was exclusive to Japan.

I doubt it's much to do with it coming west, sadly. I would love to be wrong! Good games for sure, but wish they got love in the west.
